The Flagstaff Panthers stormed into action Saturday afternoon and never looked back, powering past the AZ Vikings with a commanding 26–6 victory in 11U tackle play. From the opening whistle, the Panthers set the tone with big runs, timely defense, and relentless energy on both sides of the ball.

It started immediately when Panthers #14 exploded on the kickoff return, taking it 65 yards to the 2-yard line to set up an early scoring opportunity. Panthers #23 capitalized with a touchdown run and then added the 2-point conversion, giving Flagstaff instant momentum. The Vikings tried to answer — Vikings #13 broke free for a 35-yard gain and later scored on a 10-yard handoff from Vikings QB #5, though the conversion came up short.

In the second quarter, Panthers #18 powered through defenders for a first down before Panthers #23 found the end zone again, extending the lead with another run and successful 2-point try. Panthers #18 later recovered a fumble to keep Flagstaff rolling, but Vikings #10 snagged an interception to give his team a spark heading into halftime.

The Panthers’ defense continued to dominate in the third. Panthers #47 came up with a huge sack, then Panthers #50punched in another touchdown, followed by a smooth 2-point conversion from Panthers #43. After recovering the ensuing kick, Flagstaff kept the pressure on until Panthers #18 fumbled the ball, recovered by Vikings #12. Vikings #2hauled in a 15-yard pass on the next drive before being stopped short.

In the fourth, Panthers #48 delivered the dagger — a blistering 76-yard touchdown run that sealed the win for Flagstaff. Although Panthers #8 missed the extra point, the defense stayed locked in. Vikings QB #5 scrambled for a late 15-yard run and tried a last-second Hail Mary, but Panthers #12 intercepted the pass to end the game.

The victory not only showcased the Panthers’ balance and grit — it also keeps their playoff hopes alive, giving Flagstaff a much-needed boost heading into the final stretch of the season.
