Sharks Shut Out AZ Elite Stars in Dominant Performance
The Sharks (El Paso) made a statement under the Arizona sun, rolling to a 15–0 shutout win over the AZ Elite Starsin Game 4 of the Dance in the Desert Tournament.
It didn’t take long for the Sharks to strike. In the first quarter, #2 powered in a short-yardage touchdown using a classic tush push, and #13 drilled the extra point, putting the Sharks up 7–0.
The second quarter was all defense — and all Sharks. With the Stars backed up deep, #13 and #15 teamed up for a perfectly timed safety, extending the lead to 9–0 and shifting all the momentum.
The highlight of the night came on the second-half kickoff. Sharks’ #4 exploded for a 65-yard touchdown return, leaving defenders in his wake. A blocked field goal kept the extra point off the board, but the damage was done 15–0 Sharks.
The Elite Stars made a push in the fourth, with #50 recovering a fumble to give them a shot. But once again, Sharks’ #4 came through, stopping the ball and helping his team regain control with under three minutes to play — icing the clock and the game.
