Bears win Championship over Firebirds
The Chandler Bears and Scottsdale Firebirds met for the 13U Championship in a highly competitive matchup filled with momentum swings, big plays, and strong efforts on both sides of the field. The opening quarter set the tone early as Bears #11 stacked back-to-back sacks, challenging the Firebirds’ early rhythm. Scottsdale responded quickly with a near-score from Firebirds #0, who came up just five yards short of the end zone while stretching for the goal line. The Firebirds continued moving the ball well throughout the drive, stacking yardage and pushing deep into Bears territory before the quarter closed.
The second quarter featured a mix of defensive stops and explosive gains from both teams. Chandler recovered their own fumble when Bears #42 fell on the ball to preserve possession. In the fourth quarter, Bears #84 secured a clean, textbook interception to halt another Firebirds push. Scottsdale continued to move the ball well throughout the final quarter, generating sustained yardage and extending drives, but turnovers ultimately slowed their momentum as time wound down.
