Central Phoenix Colts Take Rivalry Game Over Outlawz, 22-16

The Central Phoenix Colts came away with a 22-16 victory over the Outlawz on Saturday in a 13U rivalry matchup that remained close through all four quarters.

The Colts struck first in the opening quarter behind No. 2, who found the end zone on a rushing touchdown. No. 13 followed with a successful PAT kick, giving Central Phoenix an 8-0 advantage.

Central Phoenix added to its lead in the second quarter when No. 2 scored his second rushing touchdown of the game. No. 13 attempted the PAT kick, but it was no good, leaving the Colts ahead 14-0.

The Outlawz answered before halftime. No. 0 broke through for a 40-yard rushing touchdown to put the Outlawz on the scoreboard. No. 14 converted the PAT kick, cutting the Colts' advantage to 14-8.

The momentum shifted toward the Outlawz in the third quarter. No. 1 connected with No. 17 on a 40-yard touchdown pass, and No. 14 followed with another successful PAT kick.

The eight-point possession gave the Outlawz a 16-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

With the rivalry game on the line, the Colts turned again to No. 2. He scored his third rushing touchdown of the game, this time from 15 yards out, to put Central Phoenix back in front.

No. 13 made the PAT kick, pushing the Colts ahead 22-16.

The Outlawz were unable to answer in the remaining fourth-quarter action, allowing the Central Phoenix Colts to secure the 22-16 rivalry victory.
