Perfect Finish

PFA CA Dirtbags 16U powered through the 2026 Southwest Select Championship and finished the weekend as the 16U division champion. The Dirtbags opened tournament play with a 5–1 win over GBG Colorado 2028 before defeating Trosky Arizona 2028, 9–2.

In bracket play, PFA survived a tight quarterfinal against Southern Arizona Baseball Academy, earning a 4–3 victory. The Dirtbags then advanced past PFA CA SoCal 16U with a 7–2 semifinal win, setting up a championship matchup against CBA Hawai‘i.

PFA took control of the title game immediately, scoring five runs in the first inning, four in the second and three in the third. The early surge created a commanding advantage, and the Dirtbags went on to secure a 13–4 victory.

CBA Hawai‘i earned runner-up honors after tournament wins over AZ Select, CBA/SSC 2028 American and Hit Dogs Academy. PFA CA SoCal 16U and Hit Dogs Academy finished tied for third place.

Peyton-Kai Kodama was named the division’s Most Valuable Player, while Gianluca Cano received Most Valuable Pitcher honors. PFA’s explosive offense and consistent tournament play carried the Dirtbags to the 16U championship.
