BPA Black Walks It Off to Stun Royals Scout Team

In a game that was all Royals early and all BPA late, BPA Black 17U completed a dramatic seventh-inning comeback to defeat Royals Scout Team 2026 by a score of 4–3 on Thursday morning.

The Royals jumped on the board quickly in the top of the first, manufacturing three runs with timely contact, patience at the plate, and early command struggles from BPA starter Seth Wallace. Ben Graves led the charge with a single and later came around to score, and Brody Crane capped the inning with a two-RBI fly ball to right.

After that, though, the Royals’ bats went silent. Wallace recovered to get through 2.1 innings before handing things over to reliever Logan Hoy, who was outstanding over 4.2 shutout innings. Hoy allowed just one hit, didn’t issue a walk, and struck out two to keep the Royals off the board the rest of the way.

BPA’s offense got on the board in the fourth with a two-out double from #99, scoring a runner who had reached on an error. But it wasn’t until the bottom of the seventh that BPA truly broke through.

Trailing 3–1 heading into their final at-bats, BPA rallied with clean situational baseball. Noah Wisneski sparked the frame after getting hit by a pitch. A single from #1 and a sharp double from #111 followed, trimming the deficit to 3–2. With the tying run on third and pressure mounting, #11 delivered the game’s biggest swing—a line drive single into left to score two and give BPA the 4–3 walk-off win.
