BPA Black Buries ITZ Vipers in Shutout Victory

It was all BPA Black from the first pitch to the final out on Thursday morning, as they stormed past ITZ Vipers Elite 17U in a dominant 12–0, four-inning run-rule victory.

BPA jumped all over ITZ in the opening frame, plating five runs with relentless pressure on the basepaths and timely hitting. The first inning was fueled by a leadoff single from #11, followed by an RBI triple from #011, and a two-run double from Mason Kenas. By the time the inning ended, ITZ found themselves in an early hole that only deepened.

In the second, BPA poured on another five runs, taking full advantage of walks, errors, and a lineup that kept making solid contact. Kane Dobson chipped in with an RBI single, and #31 added a three-RBI triple to break things wide open. The BPA offense wasn’t just powerful—it was opportunistic, forcing miscues and capitalizing with disciplined at-bats.

On the mound, BPA pitchers #24 and S. Morales combined to shut down the Vipers lineup. Morales, in particular, was electric—striking out six over 2.2 innings and allowing just one hit. ITZ managed a lone extra-base hit, a double by Zachary Mermis, but couldn’t turn it into anything on the scoreboard. ITZ finished with four errors, which proved costly in multiple innings.

Despite drawing four walks in the early innings, ITZ couldn’t capitalize. A second-inning double play and several strikeouts killed any chance of momentum. BPA tacked on a final run in the fourth to close out the 12-run lead, enforcing the run rule.
