ITZ Vipers and Next Gen Trade Blows
In a whirlwind opening inning that saw both teams trade six-run haymakers, ITZ Vipers Elite and Next Gen National battled to a 6–6 tie in an abbreviated five-inning contest at the 2025 PG WWBA West National Championship.
Next Gen National came out swinging in the top of the first, capitalizing on free bases and quick contact to plate six runs before the Vipers could catch their breath. But ITZ didn’t blink. In the bottom half, the Vipers answered with six of their own, matching the outburst with an aggressive offensive approach and clutch situational hitting.
After the first inning fireworks, both pitching staffs locked in. Over the next three and a half innings, zeroes filled the scoreboard as each team’s arms and defenses tightened up. Despite a chaotic start, neither side would budge again.
Due to tournament time constraints, the game was called after the top of the fifth with the score still locked at 6–6. ITZ did not bat in the bottom half, resulting in the official tie.
