Nomadic 14U Premier Closes Memorial Day Classic With Championship Run

The 2026 14U PG West Memorial Day Classic brought four days of youth baseball energy, pressure, and playoff drama from May 22–25, with teams battling through pool play before the championship bracket narrowed the field down to one final winner. By the end of the weekend, Nomadic 14U Premier stood on top, finishing the tournament with an 11-4 championship victory over Slammers CO Warhawks.

Pool play set the tone early. Slammers CO Warhawks controlled Pool A with a perfect 3-0 record, Nomadic 14U Premier led Pool B with a 2-0-1 mark, Dirtbags Black Sipe dominated Pool C at 3-0, and Swarm Red Elite National 2030 came out sharp in Pool D with another perfect finish.

The bracket delivered tight games, big innings, and heavyweight matchups. Canes West FC edged EJ Sports 8th Grade Titans in the opening round, AZBC 2030 TP powered past Idaho Rampage, and the quarterfinals brought strong statements from Nomadic, Dirtbags, Slammers, and Swarm.

The semifinals raised the level again. Nomadic defeated Dirtbags Black Sipe, 11-5, while Slammers CO Warhawks battled past Swarm Red Elite National 2030, 7-5. In the championship, Slammers opened with three runs in the first, but Nomadic stayed calm and flipped the game with a massive seven-run third inning.

Nomadic finished the title game with 11 runs on 14 hits, combining timely hitting, deep lineup production, and steady pitching to finish the job. It was a tournament filled with big innings, comeback energy, tough pitching moments, and championship-level baseball from start to finish.

The middle innings turned into a grind, with both teams finding ways to stay close. By the fifth inning, the game was still within reach for both sides, but Canes West FC found the big inning they needed. A four-run fifth gave them separation and ultimately became the difference.
