Nomadic 14U Premier Closes Memorial Day Classic With Championship Run

The 2026 14U PG West Memorial Day Classic brought four days of youth baseball energy, pressure, and playoff drama from May 22–25, with teams battling through pool play before the championship bracket narrowed the field down to one final winner. By the end of the weekend, Nomadic 14U Premier stood on top, finishing the tournament with an 11-4 championship victory over Slammers CO Warhawks.

Pool play set the tone early. Slammers CO Warhawks controlled Pool A with a perfect 3-0 record, Nomadic 14U Premier led Pool B with a 2-0-1 mark, Dirtbags Black Sipe dominated Pool C at 3-0, and Swarm Red Elite National 2030 came out sharp in Pool D with another perfect finish.

The bracket delivered tight games, big innings, and heavyweight matchups. Canes West FC edged EJ Sports 8th Grade Titans in the opening round, AZBC 2030 TP powered past Idaho Rampage, and the quarterfinals brought strong statements from Nomadic, Dirtbags, Slammers, and Swarm.

The semifinals raised the level again. Nomadic defeated Dirtbags Black Sipe, 11-5, while Slammers CO Warhawks battled past Swarm Red Elite National 2030, 7-5. In the championship, Slammers opened with three runs in the first, but Nomadic stayed calm and flipped the game with a massive seven-run third inning.

Nomadic finished the title game with 11 runs on 14 hits, combining timely hitting, deep lineup production, and steady pitching to finish the job. It was a tournament filled with big innings, comeback energy, tough pitching moments, and championship-level baseball from start to finish.

AZBC Turns Early Deficit Into Complete Team Win

AZBC 2030 14U put together one of the cleaner all-around performances of the weekend, defeating Dallas Tigers El Paso 13U by a final score of 12-3. Dallas jumped ahead early with one run in the first inning, but AZBC settled in and took over the game with three separate four-run innings.

The second inning changed the tone, with AZBC pushing across four runs to flip the scoreboard. They followed with another four-run inning in the third, then added four more in the fifth to put the game out of reach.

Z. Baker led the charge, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and a run scored. R. Parsons finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while M. Wiemann and C. Stewart each added important RBI production.

AZBC also created pressure with speed and situational baseball, while playing clean defense with zero errors. L. Murrietta gave AZBC four strong innings on the mound, and R. Parsons closed the door with a scoreless final frame.

Canes West Finds Late Push to Hold Off 723 Athletic Room

Canes West FC had to earn every bit of this one, battling past 723 Athletic Room for an 8-6 win in a back-and-forth matchup. Canes came out swinging with three runs in the first, but 723 Athletic Room answered with two of their own and kept the pressure on throughout.

The middle innings turned into a grind, with both teams finding ways to stay close. By the fifth inning, the game was still within reach for both sides, but Canes West FC found the big inning they needed. A four-run fifth gave them separation and ultimately became the difference.

J. Flores was the engine for Canes West FC, going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored. J. Hohreiter added a perfect 3-for-3 day with three RBIs, giving Canes another steady bat in the heart of the order.

723 Athletic Room showed toughness, drawing 10 walks and keeping traffic on the bases. S. D drove in two runs, J. Q collected two hits and an RBI, and F. B added a double while scoring twice. Canes made them sweat, but the late push held up.

Canes West Answers Late to Edge EJ Sports

Canes West FC found themselves in a tight battle against EJ Sports, but they still found a way to come out on top with a 4-3 win. This was a low-margin game from start to finish, where every baserunner mattered and every defensive play carried weight.

Canes opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning, giving themselves an early cushion. EJ Sports finally broke through in the fourth, then scored two more in the sixth to swing momentum. But Canes West FC had an answer ready, scoring twice in the bottom of the sixth to retake the lead.

C. Patrick carried the Canes offense with a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. J. Flores also played a key role, recording a hit, scoring twice, and stealing a base.

EJ Sports outhit Canes 8-4, with L. Lee and R. Ross each collecting two hits. D. Duca added a double and an RBI, but Canes limited the damage and found the final response when the game tightened.

Swarm Opens Bracket Day With Full-Control Quarterfinal Win

Swarm Red Elite National 2030 came out fast and never let up, defeating RIOT 2030 14U by a final score of 14-0. Swarm scored six runs in the first inning, added four more in the second, and put up another four in the third to take complete control.

Swarm did not need a huge hit total to dominate the scoreboard. They created offense through walks, hit batters, smart baserunning, and situational at-bats. Nine walks and five hit-by-pitches gave Swarm constant traffic, and they turned those chances into runs.

K. Sopko scored three times, C. Braun scored three runs and added an RBI, and A. Rodriguez doubled, drove in two, scored twice, and stole a base. D. Carley also drove in two runs, while several Swarm bats contributed to the offensive push.

RIOT had bright spots from K. House and N. Emery, who each recorded hits, but Swarm’s pitching and defense kept the door shut. A. Sanchez Jr threw three shutout innings, and J. Perrone finished the game clean.

Warhawks Use Big Moments to Knock Off Swarm

Slammers CO Warhawks picked up a strong tournament win, defeating Swarm Red Elite National 2030 by a final score of 7-5. Swarm had the hits, finishing with 11 as a team, but the Warhawks had the bigger moments and made their scoring chances count.

Slammers opened with a loud first inning, scoring four runs right away and putting Swarm in chase mode. Swarm worked back with one run in the third and three more in the fourth, but the Warhawks answered with three runs in the fifth, which became the deciding inning.

H. Rudden gave the Warhawks a huge spark with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI. C. Hall delivered one of the biggest swings of the game, driving in three runs with a triple. T. Dresen and C. Smith also added RBIs.

Swarm had plenty of offensive firepower in the loss. C. Bohnett went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. C. Braun added two hits and an RBI, while A. Sanchez Jr and D. Carley each drove in runs.

Nomadic Storms Back to Claim Championship

Nomadic 14U Premier delivered a powerful offensive performance and defeated Slammers CO Warhawks by a final score of 11-4 to close out the tournament championship. The game started with the Warhawks jumping out in front, but Nomadic stayed composed and eventually took full control with a huge third inning.

Slammers opened the game with three runs in the first, putting immediate pressure on Nomadic. Instead of letting the game get away, Nomadic settled in and answered with steady offense. The turning point came in the third inning, when Nomadic exploded for seven runs and flipped the entire game.

M. Rodriguez led Nomadic with a standout day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. T. Bronner also had a big performance, finishing with two hits, a double, two RBIs, and a run scored.

Nomadic’s lineup was deep throughout the game. J. Castillo drove in two runs, G. Victoria added two RBIs, J. F drove in a run, and C. Flores scored twice. As a team, Nomadic finished with 14 hits, five doubles, and 11 RBIs.

T. Bronner was also a major difference on the mound, settling the game down in relief with 5.2 strong innings. After falling behind early, Nomadic responded like a championship team and never gave the momentum back.
