Wolves Squeak Past Fight in Youth Hoops Thriller
The crowd got a treat in this 2nd/3rd grade showdown as the Arizona Wolves protected home court with a nail-biting 22–20 win over the West Valley Fight.
Both teams came out hustling from the tip. The Fight pushed the ball with fast breaks and crafty dribbling, while the Wolves answered with strong drives to the basket and some big rebounds that fired up their bench. Every bucket was met with cheers, and neither side was willing to give an inch.
The second half turned into a back-and-forth battle. The Fight showed off some slick ball-handling and even hit a couple tough shots to keep the pressure on. But the Wolves stayed locked in, attacking the paint and finding just enough space to score when it mattered most.
With the score tied in the final minute, the Wolves drove hard to the hoop for the go-ahead basket. One last defensive stand sealed it, and the gym erupted as the Wolves celebrated a two-point victory.
This one was all heart — young hoopers leaving it all on the floor.
