Vikings shine at home vs Panthers


The AZ Vikings came ready to roll on Saturday, showing off teamwork and big plays in a 16–6 win over the Flagstaff Panthers. Both teams brought tons of energy, smiles, and effort in a game that had the crowd cheering from start to finish.

The first quarter was all about hustle. Panthers #2 took off down the field for a 50-yard run, but it got called back after a penalty. Even so, the play set the tone — these kids were here to compete! Both teams played tough defense, and nobody found the end zone early on.

Then came the fireworks in the second quarter. Vikings #20 kicked things off with a touchdown, and QB #0 nailed the extra-point kick — a textbook boot that sailed right through! A few plays later, Vikings #7 jumped on a loose ball, giving his team another shot. QB #0 took over from there, throwing a 25-yard pass to #27 and a 10-yard dart to #6, before running one in himself for another touchdown. His extra-point hit the post and still went in, earning him a big cheer from the sidelines! Before halftime, Vikings #6 made a clutch interception to keep the momentum going.

In the third quarter, Vikings #0 showed his wheels again, breaking free for a 50-yard run before getting stopped just short. Panthers #1 made an awesome tackle to save the touchdown. Vikings #27 hauled in another big catch, and #7added a sack that fired everyone up.

The Panthers weren’t done yet. In the fourth, Panthers #2 turned on the jets for a 90-yard touchdown run, the play of the game! Even though #12’s 2-point try didn’t go through, the sideline went wild. On the next kickoff, the Vikings started a return, but the Panthers forced a fumble, and Panthers #16 recovered it — a huge moment that gave Flagstaff the ball right back. The Vikings’ defense, though, didn’t flinch. They held firm, and before the clock ran out, Vikings #0broke free once more for a 20-yard run, closing out the win for his team.

Both teams battled hard and had fun doing it. The Vikings’ all-around effort, led by their fearless QB, made this one a game to remember. Big plays, big smiles, and great sportsmanship all around from these young athletes!
