Vikings Power Past Jr Lions
The AZ Vikings came out strong and never slowed down, securing a commanding 25–0 victory over the Liberty Jr Lions on Saturday morning. From the very first drive, Vikings #23 exploded for a 60-yard touchdown run, setting the tone for what would be a statement win. The Jr Lions #5 answered right away with a 30-yard kick return, giving Liberty a quick spark, but the Vikings’ defense held firm and stopped the drive in its tracks.
In the second quarter, Vikings #85 turned up the heat — first breaking through for a 30-yard rushing touchdown, then later finding Vikings #33 downfield for a 30-yard touchdown pass. The extra-point was good, with #85 also converting the 2-point try himself to push the lead even further. The Jr Lions #15 gave his team some momentum with a 20-yard push through the line, battling hard against a tough Vikings defense, but the drive came up short.
Coming out of halftime, Vikings #85 continued to dominate, taking another keeper for 25 yards, then sprinting in for a 30-yard touchdown that sealed the game. On defense, Jr Lions #15 came through again with a big sack, shooting straight through the gap for a clean stop and one of Liberty’s brightest moments of the game.
The fourth quarter saw both sides trading defensive stands, but no additional scoring. When the whistle blew, it was all AZ Vikings, led by big-time performances from #23, #85, and #33, locking down another victory and keeping their 9U momentum rolling strong.
