Knights Blank Dorados In Semifinal Shutout

Arizona College Prep did not ease into the semifinal stage. The Knights came out swinging, put pressure on Canyon del Oro right away, and never allowed the Dorados to find a rhythm.

The tone was set in the first inning, when Arizona College Prep pushed across four runs to grab immediate control. That early lead gave the Knights breathing room, but they did not stop there. Arizona College Prep added one run in the third and two more in the fourth, building a 7–0 advantage while keeping constant traffic on the bases.

Ryan O’Donnal helped lead the offense for the Knights, finishing 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. C. Groppenbacher added a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Clayton Nachman doubled and drove in two runs.

CJ Estrella scored twice, A. Longfellow added two RBIs, and Jaden Guglielmo also crossed the plate as Arizona College Prep spread production throughout the lineup. The Knights finished with nine hits and played a clean game defensively, committing no errors.

On the mound, Grant McInturf delivered the kind of performance that can define a semifinal series. McInturf threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits across seven innings while striking out five and walking only one. He worked efficiently, attacked the zone, and kept Canyon del Oro off balance from start to finish.

Canyon del Oro fought to extend innings, but Arizona College Prep controlled every major part of the game. The Knights combined early offense, clean defense, and a dominant pitching performance to secure a 7–0 semifinal win over the Dorados.
