Tomley and Threatt Lead Weber State Past Pepperdine, 68–53

Weber State picked up a big win on November 30, beating Pepperdine 68–53 at the Arizona Tip-Off inside Mullett Arena. The Wildcats used strong defense, great shooting, and two big-time performances to take control of the game and never give it back.

Miguel Tomley was on fire. He scored 28 points to lead all players. Tomley hit six three-pointers and made every free throw he took. Anytime Weber needed a bucket, he was ready.

Right next to him, Blaise Threatt had a great game too. He added 21 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and passed for 4 assists. Threatt made tough plays at the basket and also hit his free throws. Together, Tomley and Threatt scored 49 of the team’s 68 points.

Weber State led by 10 points at halftime and stayed ahead for the rest of the game. They played strong defense, especially in the second half, and didn't let Pepperdine get easy shots.

Dyson Koehler added 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, helping the Wildcats control the boards. As a team, Weber shot almost 90% from the free-throw line, which helped them stay in front.

Pepperdine tried to keep it close. Zion Bethea scored 13 points, including three three-pointers. Boubacar Coulibalyhad 12 points and played tough in the paint. Stefan Todorovic also chipped in with 10 points, but the Waves couldn’t keep up once Weber started hitting shots.

Weber State’s defense forced 14 turnovers and held Pepperdine to just 32.7% shooting from the field. That made it hard for the Waves to make a comeback.

In the end, it was too much Tomley and Threatt. Their shooting and energy helped the Wildcats earn a solid win to wrap up the Arizona Tip-Off.
