From the opening tip, Deer Valley established control on both ends of the floor, racing out to a 23–4 lead after the first quarter and immediately putting pressure on Agua Fria to keep pace.
That momentum only grew in the second quarter as Deer Valley continued to push the tempo and capitalize on defensive stops, heading into halftime with a commanding 43–13 advantage. The third quarter followed the same script, with Deer Valley extending the lead to 61–24 through disciplined ball movement and consistent scoring.
By the final buzzer, the result was well in hand. Deer Valley closed out the game strong to secure a convincing 73–36 victory, showcasing depth, energy, and a full-court effort that defined the night from start to finish.


JV Overwhelms with Pace and Pressure
The Deer Valley junior varsity team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, overwhelming Agua Fria with pace, pressure, and precision. Deer Valley jumped out to an immediate 24–2 lead in the first quarter, setting a physical and fast-paced tone that Agua Fria struggled to counter.
That early surge carried into the second quarter, where Deer Valley continued to build separation and went into halftime comfortably ahead, 50–15. The third quarter became a showcase of execution on both sides of the ball, as Deer Valley extended the margin to 76–33 while maintaining defensive intensity.
Despite Agua Fria’s efforts to regroup late, Deer Valley remained locked in and finished the game strong, earning an 82–47 win. The performance reflected strong chemistry and control throughout all four quarters.

Deer Valley’s varsity team put together a statement performance on January 27, delivering a dominant showing against Agua Fria that left no doubt from the opening minutes. Deer Valley came out aggressive and composed, building a 21–9 lead after the first quarter through relentless defense and efficient scoring.
The second quarter proved decisive, as Deer Valley exploded offensively and locked down defensively, entering halftime with a commanding 57–14 advantage. Any momentum Agua Fria hoped to find was quickly shut down in the third quarter, with Deer Valley stretching the lead to 76–20.
The fourth quarter capped off a complete team effort, as Deer Valley continued to push the pace and close the game emphatically. When the final horn sounded, the scoreboard reflected a dominant 111–32 victory, underscoring Deer Valley’s depth, execution, and control from start to finish.
