That rhythm carried into the second quarter, where the Badgers continued to manage the game and took a 22–17 advantage into halftime.

Deer Valley responded with its best offensive stretch in the third quarter, scoring 15 points and staying within striking distance. #14 Skyhawks led the charge during the period, attacking inside and finishing through contact, while #2 Skyhawks added timely baskets to keep the Skyhawks competitive.
