Regular Season Game 10.4.25

Barry Goldwater bulldozed through Dobson
The Bulldogs wasted no time, jumping ahead 13–0 in the first quarter thanks to a 38-yard touchdown burst from M. Larry, followed shortly by a score from J. Lozano—two seniors leading the charge on a night where Goldwater looked in full control.
Dobson found a brief spark in the second quarter when P. Brunsvold connected with J. Winston for a 17-yard touchdown. Winston was Dobson’s most electric playmaker, pulling in 5 catches for 89 yards and racking up 144 all-purpose yards with returns included. Brunsvold added 29 yards rushing and finished with 92 through the air on 6 completions, but Goldwater’s defense smothered nearly every other drive.
In the second half, it was all Bulldogs. G. Smith punched in a rushing touchdown and converted a 2-point try, while J. Gastelum added a second 2-point conversion and threw a touchdown pass to C. Drank. Gastelum totaled 68 yards between passing and rushing, keeping the offense humming while Goldwater rotated a deep and hungry backfield. C. Hutchinson (44 yds), E. Gastelum (44 yds), M. Larry (63 yds), and S. Lamb (15 yds) all moved the chains as the Bulldogs piled on 36 points across four quarters.
Quarterbacks D. Doutis and Gastelum combined for 38 passing yards on just five attempts, including a perfect 20-yard strike from Doutis. On special teams, K. Tanner went 2-for-2 on PATs and crushed 6 kickoffs for 312 yards, including a 60-yard bomb that pinned Dobson deep.
Defensively, M. Goliday was nearly unblockable—racking up 6 total tackles and an eye-popping 5 tackles for loss. He was joined by J. Rodgers (7 tackles), D. Sierra (8 tackles), and D. Anderson, who notched a sack. Lozano also recovered a fumble, showing his value on both sides of the ball, while I. Vance added 47 yards in returns and helped flip field position.
With the win, Goldwater moves to 25–26 overall and builds big momentum heading into the back half of the season. Dobson, also now 25–26, will regroup after being held scoreless in three out of four quarters.
