Goodyear Pulls Away From Agua Fria Before Game Ends Early
Goodyear and Agua Fria met in freshman football action on August 26, with the teams opening the game evenly before Goodyear took control through the second and third quarters. The game ultimately ended early in the fourth quarter due to multiple injuries, with Goodyear leading 36-12 and approximately eight minutes remaining.
The opening quarter saw both teams get on the scoreboard. Goodyear's No. 14 accounted for the team's first touchdown, putting six points on the board. Agua Fria answered behind No. 12, who also scored to bring the game even at 6-6 after the first quarter.
