Goodyear Pulls Away From Agua Fria Before Game Ends Early

The opening quarter saw both teams get on the scoreboard. Goodyear's No. 14 accounted for the team's first touchdown, putting six points on the board. Agua Fria answered behind No. 12, who also scored to bring the game even at 6-6 after the first quarter.

Goodyear began creating separation in the second quarter. No. 28 and No. 26 each scored for Goodyear, while No. 28 also converted a two-point attempt. The three scoring plays added 16 points to Goodyear's total and pushed the Mavericks' lead to 22-6.

Agua Fria continued to battle in the second quarter as No. 12 found the end zone again. His second touchdown of the game brought Agua Fria to 12 points, sending the teams into halftime with Goodyear holding a 22-12 advantage.
