Huskies Storm Back To Beat Eagles

For four innings, O'Connor had the game exactly where it wanted it. The Eagles came out swinging, built an early lead, and kept Hamilton chasing from behind.

Then the Huskies found their spark, and once they did, the whole game flipped.

O'Connor jumped out fast with three runs in the first inning and added another in the second to take a 4–0 lead. The Eagles continued to pressure Hamilton with one run in the fourth and two more in the fifth, stretching the advantage to 7–1 and putting the Huskies in a tough spot late.

Hamilton answered with the kind of rally that changes the entire feel of a game. The Huskies pushed across four runs in the fifth inning to cut the deficit to 7–5, then came back in the sixth and delivered the knockout swing with six more runs. In two innings, Hamilton turned a six-run hole into an 11–7 lead.

Gavin Hamilton powered the comeback with a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBIs, and a triple. K. De Santiago also drove in three runs, while Tyler Nelson added a double and three RBIs of his own. Parker Rahn finished with two hits, and Ben Ball, Cory Wuttke, Alex Wells, and Landon Kern all helped fuel the late push on the bases.

O'Connor still had plenty of offense throughout the game. Mikey Gyde went 2-for-4 with a run scored, Jacoby Noble added two hits, and Jaylen Jimenez drove in two runs with a double. Chase Waterbury also doubled and brought in a run, while Jameson Mohler added a triple as the Eagles finished with 10 hits.

On the mound, Hamilton worked through the early damage and found a way to finish strong. Ryder Bell threw four innings and struck out four, while Brady Wise gave the Huskies two scoreless innings and earned the win. Cam Lauterbach closed the final inning as Hamilton completed the comeback.

O'Connor controlled the start, but Hamilton owned the finish. The Huskies used 10 unanswered runs across the fifth and sixth innings to storm back and defeat the Eagles, 11–7.
