Huskies Control Game Two Against Saints

Horizon came into game two of the semifinal matchup with a clear message: start fast, keep pressure on, and leave no room for Notre Dame Prep to build momentum.

The Huskies wasted no time getting on the board, scoring one run in the first inning before breaking the game open with four more in the second. That early burst gave Horizon a 5–0 lead and immediately put Notre Dame Prep in chase mode.

Horizon kept stacking runs from there. The Huskies added two more in the third inning, then delivered their biggest swing of the game in the fifth with a five-run frame that pushed the lead to double digits. By the time the final inning closed, Horizon had put together 12 runs on 10 hits while playing clean baseball defensively with no errors.

Notre Dame Prep fought to get its offense going and finished with seven hits, but Horizon limited the damage when it mattered most. The Saints broke through with one run in the fourth and added another in the fifth, but the early deficit was too much to overcome.

The difference came down to execution. Horizon produced runs in four of the five innings played, stayed aggressive at the plate, and kept the pressure on Notre Dame Prep’s defense. The Saints committed four errors, and Horizon took advantage of extra opportunities throughout the game.
