Verrado Clutches Win Over Canyon View
Verrado JV Baseball team came out on top with a 6-3 win over Canyon View. The tension was high as both teams brought their A-game, knowing this matchup meant more than just another game on the schedule.
Verrado wasted no time showing their dominance, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. But Canyon View wasn’t backing down. They struck back with a run in the second, showing they wouldn’t let their rivals run away with it. The game was neck-and-neck through the middle innings, with Verrado adding two more in the third and Canyon View trying to respond.
Canyon View’s Jaden Fernandez struggled a bit on the mound, but he didn’t give up. He kept his team in the fight, with the defense backing him up, including solid plays from Alfonso Alcaraz and B. Mercado. Despite their effort, though, Canyon View just couldn’t break through Verrado’s defense, and the runs kept slipping away.
Verrado’s Jackson Bailey was a beast on the mound, throwing five innings and only allowing one earned run while striking out seven. At the plate, Mateo Flores and Jacob Torres came through with multiple hits, keeping the pressure on Canyon View every time they got a chance.
