Savi Prep Handles Fierce in JV Girls Matchup
The Savi Prep JV girls used strong defense and steady scoring to pull away from Fierce Athletics, earning a 32–14 victory on Saturday morning.
Fierce came out ready to compete, but turnovers and missed shots early gave Savi Prep momentum. The home squad attacked the rim and controlled the boards, building a lead that they never surrendered.
Despite the score, Fierce had bright spots. S. Hill and E. Lehmann each got on the board with buckets, while K. Terlajiadded hustle rebounds and defensive energy. L. Lee provided a late spark, knocking down a basket and fighting on the boards to keep her team battling.
Savi Prep, however, stayed in rhythm. They pushed the tempo, forced turnovers, and converted easy transition points to stay in control throughout the second half.
At the horn, it was Savi Prep 32, Fierce Athletics 14 — a solid showing from Savi and a gritty effort from a young Fierce squad still learning to battle against tough opponents.
