Second-Half Surge Sends Rams Past Cougars

In a tightly contested matchup that stayed within a possession deep into the third quarter, Maricopa pulled away late to secure an 83–76 win over Casa Grande. The Cougars controlled the early tempo, but the Rams’ balance and execution after halftime flipped the script.

Casa Grande held slim leads after both the first and second quarters, taking a 39–38 advantage into the break behind strong guard play and inside production.

The second half belonged to Maricopa’s No. 1, Mason Wyatt. The senior guard erupted for 37 points, taking over offensively and dictating pace as the Rams outscored Casa Grande 24–19 in the third quarter.

Maricopa stayed composed down the stretch, closing out possessions and knocking down key free throws to seal the win.
