Vista Grande Pulls Away Behind Dominant Performance

Vista Grande turned a tight early matchup into a full takeover by the middle innings, pulling away from Maricopa for a 9–2 win behind dominant pitching and a relentless offensive rhythm.

Maricopa came out sharp, striking early and putting pressure on the defense with runs in the first two innings. S. Lopez and J. Coronado helped set the tone, keeping things competitive and showing early control of the game’s pace.

Vista Grande responded quickly and never looked back. After taking the lead, they exploded in the fourth and fifth innings, stacking runs and creating separation that shifted the momentum completely.

At the plate, J. Ybarra led the charge with a 3-for-4 performance including a home run and 2 RBIs, while A. Montiel added three hits and two RBIs of his own. J. Valenzuela chipped in with key production, helping power a balanced offense that finished with 12 hits.

On the mound, A. Montiel was dominant, going six innings with 16 strikeouts and allowing just two runs. K. Diaz closed it out clean in the seventh to secure the win.

Maricopa continued to compete throughout, but the middle-inning surge from Vista Grande proved too much to overcome.
