Titans Close It Out

Arcadia built its lead early and stayed just out of reach down the stretch, fending off a late push from North Canyon to secure a 5–3 varsity baseball win.

The game opened with both teams trading blows right away, each putting a run on the board in the first inning. North Canyon showed early life, matching Arcadia’s energy and settling into the game quickly. But as the innings moved forward, Arcadia began to stack pressure in a steady, methodical way, adding runs in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to slowly stretch the gap.

Arcadia’s offense was not built on one loud inning, it was built on steady production across the lineup. H. Oleshansky delivered a huge performance, going 3-for-4 with two triples and two runs scored, creating pressure every time he reached base. Andrew Karsnitz and Cael Donahue each posted multi-hit games, while Caleb Young added two hits and an RBI. Roen Sauerr also made his presence felt with two RBIs and two stolen bases, helping keep pressure on North Canyon throughout the night.

On the mound, Arcadia pieced together a strong outing. Brad Resnick worked the first two innings before Cael Donahue took over and controlled the game down the stretch, allowing two runs over five innings while striking out three. The Titans did enough in big spots and limited the damage when North Canyon threatened.

North Canyon had its chances and refused to go quietly. Jose Chavez led the Rattlers with a standout 3-for-4 game and scored twice, while Anthony Miranda scored once and Y. Uerra, B. Alexander, and Javi Olvares each drove in a run. North Canyon pushed one more across in the seventh to make things interesting, but Arcadia held firm and closed the door before the rally could fully take shape.

Despite the loss, the Rattlers battled inning by inning and kept the pressure on until the final out. Arcadia, however, proved to be just a step ahead all game long, stringing together hits, executing in key moments, and finishing the job when the tension rose.
