Scorpions Explode Past Rattlers

Desert Edge turned the game into an offensive storm early and never let up, rolling past North Canyon 20–9 behind a massive third inning and a lineup that stayed locked in from top to bottom.

The Scorpions set the tone right away, pushing across runs in both the first and second innings before unleashing chaos in the third. Desert Edge erupted for 11 runs in the frame, sending wave after wave of hitters to the plate and flipping the game wide open. J. Boschetti led the charge with a monster performance, going 4-for-5 with 5 runs scored, 4 RBIs, and a home run, while also swiping three bags to keep constant pressure on the defense.

The lineup did not slow down behind him. R. Ruiz and C. Clemons each collected three hits and scored three runs, with Clemons adding extra-base power. D. Turasky Jr delivered in key moments, finishing with three hits and four RBIs, and J. Wadsworth chipped in with a pair of hits to keep innings alive. A. Campbell added a big all-around effort with two hits, two RBIs, and a double and triple, helping Desert Edge pile up 23 hits as a team.

North Canyon showed fight despite the early deficit. B. Alexander led the Rattlers with a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a double, while J. Chavez and J. Huerta each added two hits to keep the offense moving. M. Lopez drove in a pair of runs, and E. Nicloy crossed the plate twice as the Rattlers continued to battle back with multiple scoring innings, including a four-run fourth.

On the mound, Desert Edge used a two-arm approach to secure the win. A. Campbell handled the bulk of the work, striking out three over four innings while working through traffic, and V. Garcia added two innings to help close things out. Despite North Canyon’s effort and ability to generate 10 hits, the damage from Desert Edge’s explosive third inning proved too much to overcome as the Scorpions maintained control the rest of the way.
