Rattlers Roll Past Mustangs
The North Canyon Rattlers came out swinging and never took their foot off the gas, exploding early and cruising to a dominant 24-0 victory over the North Mustangs. From the first inning, the Rattlers lineup set the tone, piling up eight runs right out of the gate and immediately putting pressure on the Mustangs defense.
North Canyon kept the momentum rolling in the second inning with another offensive surge, pushing nine more runs across the plate as the lineup continued to deliver timely hits and aggressive baserunning. By the third inning, the Rattlers added seven more runs to cap off an overwhelming offensive performance that produced 18 total hits on the day.
Leading the charge at the plate was B. Alexander, who delivered a huge performance going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and five RBIs, including a double, a triple, and a home run to complete a monster day at the plate. Y. Uerra also provided a major spark, going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs, while J. Chavez added three runs and two RBIs. J. Huerta crossed the plate four times and swiped three bases, helping keep constant pressure on the basepaths. E. Villarreal chipped in with two hits and three runs scored, while M. Lopez, A. Miranda, and M. Hougland each added runs and RBIs to keep the offense moving inning after inning.
On the mound, L. Sanders was lights out for the Rattlers. The right-hander tossed four shutout innings, allowing no hits while striking out six and issuing just two walks. The Mustangs struggled to find any rhythm offensively, as Sanders consistently attacked the strike zone and kept hitters off balance.
Defensively, North Canyon stayed sharp behind their pitcher, committing no errors and turning in a clean performance in the field to secure the shutout.
With explosive offense, aggressive baserunning, and dominant pitching, the Rattlers controlled the game from start to finish and walked away with a convincing win.
