Verrado Explodes Late to Take Down North Canyon

Verrado turned a tight early game into a full-on offensive eruption, storming back from an early deficit to take down North Canyon 13–6 in a statement varsity performance.

North Canyon came out hot, striking for three runs in the first and adding another in the third to grab early momentum. Their lineup applied pressure with consistent contact and aggressive baserunning, forcing Verrado to respond quickly.

That response came fast. Verrado answered in the second, then flipped the game in the third before unleashing a five-run fourth inning that cracked the game wide open. Once the door opened, Verrado didn’t hesitate—they blew it off the hinges.

B. Trujillo delivered the biggest swing of the night with a home run and three RBIs, while C. Valdez added a triple and drove in a run. C. Purdy chipped in with a double, and W. Daniels added two RBIs as the lineup stayed relentless from top to bottom.

On the mound, J. Bailey battled through five innings to keep Verrado in position before S. Lehr shut things down with two scoreless innings to secure the win.
