Perry vs Higley | Girls Basketball
Final Score

Pumas Hold Off Knights
The Perry Pumas built a strong early cushion and never let Higley fully erase it, powering their way to a 69–56 win in varsity girls basketball action. Perry exploded out of the gate in the opening quarter, hanging 29 points on the board with quick ball movement, confident shooting, and the kind of offensive rhythm that immediately put the Knights on their heels.
The Pumas stayed aggressive in the second quarter and pushed their lead to 38–28 by halftime. Perry’s production came from all over the floor, but senior B. Burcar led the way with 17 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting night, knocking down two triples and keeping the offense steady whenever Higley tried to answer.
Higley continued to compete and searched for momentum in the second half, but Perry had another response ready. Sophomore E. Molinar delivered a smooth all-around performance with 10 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, helping control the tempo while keeping the Pumas organized offensively. U. Machiri added nine points, while N. McQuiston posted eight points and 10 rebounds to give Perry a strong presence on the glass.
T. Jones brought energy on both ends with eight points, five rebounds, four steals, and four blocks, while Perry’s balanced scoring helped close the door in the fourth quarter. Despite Higley battling through all four quarters, the Pumas’ early surge and steady production were enough to finish off a 69–56 home win.
