TJ Fortier Erupts for 507 Total Yards and Six Touchdowns
Sean “TJ” Fortier Jr. didn’t just lead the Simi Valley Bulldogs offense against the Santa Barbara Saints. The Class of 2031 quarterback delivered a massive all-around performance that stretched to both sides of the football.
Wearing No. 40, Fortier completed 25 of 29 passes for 426 yards and five touchdowns. He added another 59 yards and a touchdown on six rushing attempts, finishing with 507 total yards. Then he made his presence felt defensively, returning an interception 22 yards.
At quarterback, on the ground and even on defense, Fortier showed his versatility against Santa Barbara. A 507-total-yard performance, six offensive touchdowns and an interception gave No. 40 a night worthy of WCFA Player of the Week recognition.
The Moment That Stood Out
The Bulldogs went on to record a shutout and mercy-rule victory, a result Fortier identified as the moment that stood out most from the game.
Meet TJ
For Fortier, being an athlete extends far beyond playing quarterback. He describes himself as a multi-sport athlete who has competed in more than four sports since he was 3 years old. He even has experience at another spot in the backfield, having previously played running back.
What Football Means
Football gives Fortier something particularly important: “A break from the world.”
Eyes on the Next Goal
Fortier’s goals reach much further than the next game or season. Asked what he is currently working toward, he had a two-word answer: “Hall of Fame.”
Beyond the Field
Family has also helped shape Fortier. He is the middle of five brothers, learning from his oldest brother while recognizing that he now serves as a role model for his younger brothers.
“Monopoly teaches you that if you don't take risks, you'll end up paying rent to someone who did.”
Sean “TJ” Fortier Jr.
From the Coach
“He is ten times the QB I was at the same age.”
