Regular Season Freshman/JV Football 9.10.25 Game 2

Bulldogs Control Skyline from Start to Finish
The Barry Goldwater freshman Bulldogs kept their hot start rolling with a dominant 44–13 win over Skyline in their second game of the season.
Barry set the tone early with defense, as #5 pounced on a Skyline fumble to give the Bulldogs prime field position. That turnover quickly turned into points when #24 broke free for the opening touchdown. Moments later, #45 made his presence felt with a sack, and #24 struck again on a 60-yard touchdown run to extend the lead.
The second quarter was all Bulldogs. Quarterback #8 powered the offense with a pair of touchdown runs, including a 60-yard burst, while also cashing in on extra point conversions. Skyline’s miscues continued, as a fumble recovery by #45 set up another score. #22 capped the half with both a touchdown and a two-point run, sending Barry into the break firmly in control.
In the third quarter, Skyline’s struggles continued as another fumble recovery by #4 killed a promising drive.
Skyline finally broke through in the fourth behind #12, who ripped off a 55-yard touchdown run and later added a second score following a fumble recovery. #20 drilled the extra point after the final touchdown to give Skyline a late spark, but by then the Bulldogs’ lead was too much to overcome.
The win moves Barry Goldwater to 2–0 after their dominant 59–2 opener against Deer Valley. Skyline drops to 0–2, still searching for their first win after opening with a 67–0 loss to Buena.
