Pitcher's Duel Ends in Jaguar Win!

Canyon View and Verrado had a super close baseball game on April 17, and it was all about the pitchers!

Canyon View’s Landon Hood was on fire! He pitched 7 full innings, gave up only 1 hit, and struck out 14 batters. That’s right — 14! He didn’t walk a single player either. It was like he had a cheat code or something!

On the Verrado side, Colton Zacher was also amazing. He pitched 6 innings, only gave up 3 hits, and struck out 5. The game was 0-0 for five whole innings because both pitchers were just that good.

The only run of the game came in the 6th inning when Canyon View finally broke through. Max King had a big hit, and Ricardo Yuriar drove him in. That was all they needed.

Verrado just couldn’t get the bats going. They only had one hit the whole game, and that came from Braden Marchese. The Vipers tried their best but couldn’t get past Hood’s pitching power.

Final score: Canyon View 1, Verrado 0.

What a game. If you like strikeouts and great defense, this one was a classic!
