Verrado Falls to Lake Havasu in Tough 16-1 Loss
Verrado varsity baseball faced a tough challenge against Lake Havasu, falling 16-1 at home.
The Knights struck early, plating three runs in the first before breaking the game open with a seven-run third inning. Despite the deficit, the Vipers kept battling, getting on the board in the fourth when senior Nolan Raissle knocked the team’s lone hit. Colton Zacher also found a way to score, taking advantage of an error to cross the plate.
On the defensive side, Braden Marchese, Lucas Spitzock, and Kyan Sims split time on the mound, with Spitzock delivering a solid relief outing, allowing no earned runs in his brief appearance. In the field, Eli Bebleh and Aaron Gutierrez made clean plays, each recording multiple putouts.
