Verrado Erupts Late in Shutout Statement

Verrado’s varsity squad turned a slow-burning start into a full-on offensive eruption, shutting out Buckeye 11–0 in a game that flipped from patient to dominant in just a few innings.

Early on, both teams worked through quiet frames, trading empty at-bats while searching for a spark. Verrado broke through in the second inning, scratching across the first run and setting the tone. Then came the third—and that’s when the game cracked open. A four-run surge gave Verrado control, but it was only the beginning.

By the fifth inning, the game turned into an avalanche. Six runs poured in as the lineup caught fire from top to bottom, stretching the lead and putting the contest firmly out of reach.

Jr. B. Trujillo led the charge, stuffing the stat sheet with 3 runs, 2 hits, and 2 RBIs, applying pressure every time he stepped in. Sr. Q.
